I come to the studio because I like it.

I like the place, I like the equipment and I like the staff. It’s beautiful.

I like coming to the studio because I get to make great music and talk about my future.

Because I do.

I like rapping because I like rap music and RnB music and I like sounding like the artist I like. When I rap I can stay focused on what I’m doing and that calms me down and makes me feel relaxed.

Making music also brings out my emotions, sometimes they are happy sometimes they are sad but it’s good to get your emotions out.

I like to listen to Rap music, like Prodigy from Mob Deep and Logic.

I also like Jake Bugg but it’s because he’s handsome.

I like RnB, like Usher and Little Case.

I like to make my own music. I like rapping and I like to sing RnB.

Making music is good for my behaviour. I find I’m kicking off less, being less violent and swearing less. I find through freestyle rapping I am understanding the impacts of my behaviour more.

For example, I have a song called ‘Green on 19’ where I rap about staying in the ‘Green’ (my calm state) and that if I can remain calm I am nice to people and I don’t get my things confiscated.

As opposed to going into the ‘Red’ (my angry state), where I can be horrible to people through swearing and being violent and that is bad. I know my behaviour now will have an impact on my future and I want my future to come.

I like to rap about my future which makes me feel excited and positive. This is really good because I know what I want for the future and that makes me feel happy.

Also, when I listen to my music it makes me excited for the future. For example, I have a song called ‘Feels’ which is about an incident when I ran away from home, this was bad but through writing a song about it I understood I also showed independence in travelling and that if I want to go out on my own in the future I can I just need to tell my mum so she doesn’t worry about me.

Rapping about my future makes me feel confident in myself because I know I can achieve my goals.

Making my music also makes me feel good about myself because I sound like the artists I really like and that makes me feel really proud of myself.
