Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre sample Daylight Studio's 🍉Watermelon Fantasy !
Daylight Studio are thrilled to announce that our track "Watermelon Fantasy" has been sampled by none other than Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre in their new single, "Outta Da Blue" (featured on Madden 25). This unexpected collaboration is a dream come true for our small, charity-based studio.
It gives a huge amount of validation to the unique creativity we believe the disabled community posses but it often unable to express.
Released in 2019, Watermelon Fantasy is a track performed by learning-disabled artists. This puts it in a genre often referred to as ‘Outsider music’ due to the artists’ unique perception of the world
The proceeds from "Outta Da Blue" have been split between the disabled artists involved, with production shares being donated back into the studio. This will help us provide more opportunities for people within the disabled community, and in turn release more music, where their voices will be heard.
We recently released a mixtape featuring songs from eight artists who have participated in our music sessions. The mixtape showcases the incredible diversity and talent of our community.
